so my fiancé Phil and I are taking a weekly pre marriage course at our local church, and last night they broke us into girl/guy groups. the girls in my group asked where Phil was from, and when I told them there was a genuine collective sigh, which made me laugh. is this just an American thing? an obsession with accents?? because even after 4 years with him, I'm still just a little thrilled he has an accent (though I often forget about it unless we're in public... and i often make fun of it when we're not! because i'm a mean little American lady.)

About the only accent I hate is that my own country. And as an Australian travelling two months in Europe last year, I was in my glory!! Those Brits..... *sighs again*.... you lucky thing you!!

yes americans love their accents. Although I'm in france and a group of girls I'm with agreed that british accents are sexier than french accents. *shrugs shoulders*
