I need to do a bit more research into this, but after reading this article, I'm very concerned for my art! I don't want anyone to steal it (it's the most horrible, helpless feeling), and I don't want anyone else's art to be stolen either. So, I'm going to start plastering a watermark on each piece I submit, and I'm going to urge you to do the same! As artists we need to band together and protect ourselves. Please don't find yourself taken advantage of. Do all you can to protect your work: your work is totally unique, it's one-of-a-kind, and the idea that people can just run around and grab whatever they please because they found it first is NOT OK!

So, to protect my work from those people out there, I'm going to start including a watermark.

What kinds of things do you do to protect yourself? And don't tell me we shouldn't be posting our work online. The world wide web is a huge marketing tool now, you cannot expect to survive without it. It's worth the risk! With that being said, what can we do to keep that risk low?

Blessings,
Jess
